Building Inspector

About the Role

Performs a combination of technical and professional work including reviewing permit requests, construction plans, performing inspections, and ensuring code compliance for residential, commercial, industrial, and multi-family buildings in the City of Lone Tree.

Responsibilities

- Review engineered designs for conformance with adopted codes

- Perform building inspections for residential, commercial, industrial, and multi-family structures

- Investigate complaints and issue correction notices or stop work orders as needed

- Communicate with other divisions, departments, and metro districts

- Review permit requests and construction plans

- Ensure code compliance throughout construction projects

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED

- 5 years of construction or inspection experience

- 3 ICC certifications

- Valid driver's license
