About the Role
Douglas County Human Services is seeking a Caseworker B specializing in Adult Protection Services. You'll investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of at-risk adults in Douglas County.
Responsibilities
- Investigate reports of adult abuse and neglect
- Conduct risk assessments and safety planning
- Coordinate protective services and placements
- Work with law enforcement and courts
- Develop intervention plans
- Document cases and testify as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
- Experience with adult populations preferred
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Strong crisis intervention skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to handle difficult situations professionally
