About the Role
The Douglas County District Attorney's Office is seeking a Deputy District Attorney for County Court. You'll prosecute misdemeanor cases and represent the State of Colorado in County Court proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Prosecute misdemeanor criminal cases
- Represent the State in County Court hearings
- Review police reports and file appropriate charges
- Negotiate plea agreements
- Prepare and present cases at trial
- Work with victims and witnesses
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from accredited law school
- Active Colorado Bar license
- Prosecution or criminal law experience preferred
- Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
