Educational Assistant IV - Early Childhood

About the Role
Provide assistance to teachers and special service providers in Douglas County School District. Assist in instruction, medical and health needs of preschool-age special education students. Position floats between Parker area schools based on student need.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with daily functions including food preparation, feeding, and toileting
- Conduct proper cleaning and sanitizing of classroom per CDHS regulations
- Support classroom set up, lesson plans, and materials preparation
- Assist in documentation of student learning and growth including IEP goals
- Provide supervision of students throughout the day
- Communicate appropriately with students, families, and school personnel
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and First Aid certification from American Heart Association
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong detail orientation and organizational skills
