Educational Assistant IV - Severe Needs (Franktown Elementary)

About the Role
Student-specific position providing assistance to special education teachers at Douglas County School District. Assists in instruction, medical, and health needs of special education students with severe needs at Franktown Elementary.
Responsibilities
- Support daily and long range lessons to meet IEP goals
- Assist students with daily functions including food preparation and toileting
- Administer and document prescription medication and perform medical procedures
- Collaborate with special needs team and other specialists
- May assist and escort student in bus transference
- Communicate with parents and school personnel as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in educational environment preferred
- Verbal and written English communication skills
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
