Educational Assistant IV - Severe Needs (Iron Horse)

About the Role
Douglas County School District is hiring an Educational Assistant IV to support students with severe needs at Iron Horse Elementary. You'll assist special education teachers with instruction, medical needs, and life skills.
Responsibilities
- Support daily lessons to meet IEP goals
- Administer and document prescription medications
- Perform medical procedures as needed
- Document health services for Medicaid reimbursement
- Assist with therapeutic activities
- May supervise classroom in teacher's absence
- Assist with bus transfers and transportation
- Help with food preparation, feeding, and toileting
- Collaborate with special needs team and specialists
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in educational environment preferred
- Written and verbal communication skills in English
- Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets
