Substitute Preschool Instructor - Copper Mesa Elementary

About the Role
Douglas County School District needs Substitute Preschool Instructors at Copper Mesa Elementary. Provide classroom instruction and positive interaction with preschool students when regular instructors are absent.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement instruction consistent with preschool curriculum
- Cooperate with special education team on IEP goals
- Develop Individual Learning Plans for at-risk students
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team
- Assess student abilities and needs using formal/informal methods
- Maintain data on student progress and performance
- Perform toileting duties and life skills instruction

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- First Aid & CPR Certification (American Heart Association)
- Group Leader Qualified - CO Dept of Human Services
- Experience with young children preferred
- Strong communication and patience
- Ability to lift 5-50 lbs occasionally
