Teacher - English Language Development

About the Role
Douglas County School District is hiring an English Language Development (ELD) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll support Multilingual Learners using WIDA Standards and Colorado Academic Standards.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain MLPs for each Multilingual Learner
- Analyze student performance to support instructional decisions
- Administer state and federal assessments for MLs
- Collaborate with school personnel, students, and families
- Use instructional strategies for higher-order thinking
- Establish safe, inclusive environment for all learners
- Coach and mentor teachers to support MLs
- Plan instruction aligned with WIDA and Colorado standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- CLD or LDE endorsement (or in progress)
- Colorado Department of Education Professional License
- Elementary license or Highly Qualified in Language Arts
