Douglas County Media Group is looking for a locally based independent contractor to help support community events, assist with hosted experiences, and contribute to on-the-ground coordination as we expand our events and activations.
This is a flexible, project-based role suited for someone who enjoys being around people, showing up reliably, and helping events run smoothly.
What you’ll be responsible for
Support and run on-site logistics for local events and hosted experiences
Manage setup, flow, and basic coordination during events
Handle attendee check-in and on-the-ground needs
Capture simple photos or short videos when useful
Communicate clearly before and after events to ensure smooth execution
Scope and timing vary by event. Contractor controls availability and accepts work on a per-event or short-term basis.

Comfortable talking with people and coordinating with multiple parties
Reliable, responsive, and organized
Has a smartphone and reliable transportation
Prior experience with events, hospitality, nonprofits, or other community-facing work is strongly preferred. Reliability, confidence in public settings, and follow-through are essential.
Compensation
1099 independent contractor
Paid per event or per project
