About the Role

Responsible for teaching and guiding groups of preschool aged children in an outdoor nature-based setting at HRCA's Backcountry Wilderness Area. Seasonal position.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching of preschool aged children in outdoor nature-based environment
• Facilitate activities on topics including animals, birds, insects, habitats, and plants
• Develop age-appropriate curriculum for nature-based learning
• Supervise children during outdoor exploratory play
• Communicate with parents about child progress
• Ensure health and safety of all children

Requirements

• Experience working with young children in professional setting
• Knowledge of nature and outdoor education
• Strong communication skills
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications
• Must pass background check and drug screening
