About the Role

Performs a variety of operational and instructional duties related to Youth and Adult Pottery programs at HRCA Recreation Centers.

Responsibilities

    • Instructs pottery classes for youth and adult students
    • Fulfills role as lab monitor including loading, firing, unloading kilns
    • Mixes glazes, monitors supplies, and assists students
    • Plans and prepares innovative class curriculum for children and adults
    • Facilitates Pottery Birthday Parties when scheduled
    • Keeps pottery studio clean and organized
    • Manages pottery sales

    Requirements

    • Associate's degree in art or related area preferred
    • Two years in youth and adult clay arts programming
    • Background in art programming for youth and adults
    • Must obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days
    • Must pass background check and drug screening

    Benefits
