Clay Arts Instructor

About the Role
Performs a variety of operational and instructional duties related to Youth and Adult Pottery programs at HRCA Recreation Centers.
Responsibilities
- Instructs pottery classes for youth and adult students
- Fulfills role as lab monitor including loading, firing, unloading kilns
- Mixes glazes, monitors supplies, and assists students
- Plans and prepares innovative class curriculum for children and adults
- Facilitates Pottery Birthday Parties when scheduled
- Keeps pottery studio clean and organized
- Manages pottery sales
- Associate's degree in art or related area preferred
- Two years in youth and adult clay arts programming
- Background in art programming for youth and adults
- Must obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- $18.71 - $27.00/hour
