About the Role
: Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals in and around the pool or aquatic area.
Responsibilities
- Performs the functions of a professional lifeguard as defined by the current “standards of care” established by Jeff Ellis and Associates, Inc. International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP).
- Prevents accidents through the enforcement of organizational policies, rules and regulations, and ordinances governing the conduct of people using swimming pools.
- Maintains discipline in and around the pool area, with assistance from supervisor as needed.
- Perform light maintenance and janitorial duties as required and directed to maintain swimming pool decks, bathrooms and surrounding areas to ensure a safe, clean and healthy aquatic environment.
- Assists with written documentation for chemical logs, incident reports, etc. during scheduled shift.
- Abides by all provisions as designated in the ILTP Lifeguard License Agreement.
