Bakery/Deli Clerk

About the Role
Creates an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service at King Soopers. Establishes and maintains a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assists the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while monitoring quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities
- Prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
- Provide customers with fresh products they have ordered
- Recommend deli or bakery items to customers
- Prepare foods according to food temperature logs
- Measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipe
- Check product quality to ensure freshness
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers

Requirements
- Customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to obtain food handlers permit once employed
- Bakery or Deli experience helpful
- Retail experience preferred
