Grocery Assistant Department Leader

About the Role
Assist Department Manager in planning, organizing, staffing, training and directing Grocery Department associates at King Soopers Castle Rock. Perform production and customer service functions while maximizing store sales and profits.

Responsibilities
- Assist Department Manager in organizing work and training associates
- Respond appropriately to customer and associate comments and complaints
- Use Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) to manage merchandise ordering
- Perform and direct pricing and displaying of merchandise
- Maintain proper signage, product rotation, and freshness
- Follow company policies including dress code, sanitation, and safety
- Communicate and interact with associates and customers professionally

Requirements
- Willing to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of department operations (merchandising, ordering, inventory, labor scheduling)
- Qualified to operate power machinery (power jacks, box cutters, balers)
- Grocery retail or backup manager experience desirable
