Produce Clerk

About the Role
King Soopers in Castle Rock is hiring a Produce Clerk to create outstanding customer experiences and maintain the produce department. You'll help customers find fresh fruits and vegetables while ensuring quality and freshness.

Responsibilities
- Acknowledge, assist and appreciate customers (3A's of Friendly)
- Promote Corporate Brands to customers
- Gain and maintain knowledge of produce products
- Assist with preparation of produce platters and trays
- Inform customers of produce specials and recommend items
- Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise
- Review and inspect products for quality and freshness
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers
- Label, stock and inventory department merchandise

Requirements
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Current food handlers permit once employed
- Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced environment
