Fitness Club Closing Support Associate

Role and Responsibilities

The Fitness Club Closing Support Associate is responsible for securing the club each evening while maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for staff and members.

• Complete all closing procedures in line with Planet Fitness policies and standards.
• Ensure that all members have left the facility before closing.
• Lock doors, secure windows, and activate alarm systems.
• Sanitize and clean gym equipment, locker rooms, and shared areas.
• Assist members with inquiries and deliver excellent customer service.
• Balance cash and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
• Restock supplies and prepare the club for the next day’s operations.
• Report and resolve any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Support front desk duties, including membership sign-ups and billing questions, as needed.
• Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and members.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Availability to work evening shifts, including weekends.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for the majority of the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Occasional handling of cleaning chemicals.
