Aquatics Group Instructor and Private Instructor

Responsibilities
- Interacts with students in the water during class
- Interacts with and responds to parent concerns and explains child's progress
- Prepares lesson plans that effectively teach kids proper swimming methods and water safety rules
- Completes students progress skill sheets identifying if the students have mastered specific skills necessary to pass from one level to the next
- May be required to perform emergency first aid and life-saving techniques
- Performs other duties as assigned or required

Requirements
- At least six (6) months' experience instructing group lessons is preferred
- Must hold the following American Red Cross certifications: First Aid, CPR/Professional Rescuer, AED and Administering Emergency Oxygen. Optional certifications: Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Fundamentals of Instruction Training (FIT). Required certifications can be obtained through the Town
- Must be at least 15 years old
