Responsibilities
- Creates practice and game schedules, coordinating facilities and teams
- Forms teams when necessary. Places players considering skill levels and special requests to ensure the best experience for all participants
- Recruits and oversees volunteer coaches and umpires
- Ensures league standings are maintained
- Inspects fields and facilities used for athletic activities
- Determines and informs coaches of necessary schedule or field changes, including postponement or cancellation of games or practices due to weather or other conditions
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of experience instructing and/or teaching sports/activities, including experience in developing curriculum and coaching/lesson plans; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
