Fleet Technician I-II / Master Technician

About the Role
Join the Town of Castle Rock Public Works team as a Fleet Technician. Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the Town's vehicle fleet including automobiles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on vehicles
- Conduct maintenance and repair on all vehicle systems including engines, gas, diesel, and alternative fueled vehicles
- Repair suspensions, steering, differential and driveline systems
- Repair electrical, air conditioning, exhaust, hydraulic, and cooling systems
- Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections
- Repair and maintain lawn mowers, edgers, blowers, and power saws
- Perform repair-type welding and fabrication
- Provide care and maintenance of shop equipment
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent with vocational training in auto/equipment repair
- One (1) year of previous work experience as a technician
- DOT Inspector Certification required or ability to obtain within one year
- ASE Certification G1 desired or ability to attain within one year
- Valid Colorado Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement required or ability to obtain within one year
