Responsibilities
- Acts as lead worker for part-time and full-time personnel; assigns and schedules repairs or work
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of parks, ball fields, and rights-of-way, e.g., tractors, mowers, snow plows
- Performs grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed eating, edging, blowing, pruning, planting, trimming, sodding
- Performs regular and preventive maintenance, and minor repair on assigned equipment
- Operates tractor and sprayer for fertilization and weed control
- Performs painting, cleaning, maintenance and repair on municipal property, structures, and facilities, including playground equipment, fences, buildings, and pools
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- One (1) year work experience that demonstrates the ability to safely and effectively operate equipment and machinery; or an equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
