Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator

About the Role
Direct therapeutic recreation programs for individuals with disabilities at the Castle Rock Recreation Center. Lead staff training and program implementation.

Responsibilities
- Direct recreational programs for individuals with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities
- Create, implement, and adapt age-appropriate program plans
- Direct, support, and train seasonal staff and volunteers
- Ensure safety practices; administer First Aid and CPR if necessary
- Demonstrate appropriate behavioral management techniques
- Complete documentation related to programs and participants
- Communicate with parents/guardians and caregivers
- Provide transportation for participants by driving a van

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least one year experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
- CPR and First Aid Certifications (or obtain within 30 days)
- Skill in directing and instructing others
- Ability to safely operate multi-passenger vehicle

Benefits
- Salary: $16.34 - $22.88/hour
