Recreation Instructor/Coach - CARA Swim Coach

About the Role
Plans, instructs, and supervises recreational programs at Town of Parker, including youth sports, therapeutic activities, swimming, and enrichment classes. This safety-sensitive position participates in pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans and practice schedules for swim programs
- Support inclusive programming by adapting activities for participants with disabilities
- Foster inclusive, supportive, and positive environment
- Model sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience
- Perform safety and maintenance checks on equipment and facilities
- Act as primary on-site contact for participants and parents
- Assess participant skill levels and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in planning swim meets, practices, and seasonal activities

Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
- One year relevant teaching or coaching experience preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
- Current Swim Instruction certification required
- Concussion recognition training within 90 days
