About the Role
Join the Parker Police Department as a Victim Advocate providing direct support to victims of crime and personal tragedy. This meaningful role offers crisis intervention, emotional support, and ensures victims are aware of their rights under the Colorado Victim Rights Act.
Responsibilities
- Establish contact with victims of crimes and personal tragedy
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support
- Ensure compliance with Colorado Victim Rights Act requirements
- Inform victims of case status through investigation phases
- Collaborate with community services providers for victim safety
- Deliver community outreach and education on victim rights
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
- One year of experience with victims of crime or personal tragedy
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
- Knowledge of relevant laws and policies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
