About the Role
Medical Assistant II position at UCHealth Primary Care Lone Tree, performing clinical and administrative duties at a proficient level. Acts as subject matter expert for other MAs and makes recommendations to improve programs, products, processes or services. Career ladder opportunity available.
Responsibilities
- Lead huddles, identify transitions of care, update Advance Directive information during rooming process
- Complete PHQ2 and PHQ9 screenings when indicated
- Participate in motivational interviewing and self-management support techniques
- Set up and support providers with procedures, perform high level disinfection
- Provide in-basket management support for providers
- Serve as preceptor to onboard new hire MAs
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Medical Assistant experience at UCHealth
- BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer
