Medical Assistant

About the Role
Wind Crest is a beautiful 84-acre continuing care retirement community located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, just minutes from Denver. Responsibilities
- Maintain schedules for employee visits and accurate information in employee medical records
- Perform front desk receptionist responsibilities to include data entry, assisting customers as they enter Employee Health, filing and retrieving medical charts, and answering phones
- Ensure the accuracy of registration, insurance verification, and coding, and charge entry into the electronic health record
- Prepare employee for examination by the healthcare provider to include the following: recording vital signs including weight and BMI and preparing a patient (e.g., assisting with placing on a gown or exposing an affected area of the body for examination)
- Perform blood draws and tests, vaccinations, and EKGs under the direction of the supervising clinician
- Prepare reports for the Program Coordinator, and Medical Director, and Regional NP as requested regarding monthly utilization, co

Requirements
- Knowledge of HIPAA
- Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and basic Excel)
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and valid certification
- CPR certification is required
- Current MA Certification is required
